This multi-color shawl is 72 inches on the long straight edge, and 40 inches from the top to the point. Two kinds of yarn were used in this one. The solid colors are an Alpaca/Wool blend, and the shaded tones are Acrylic/Wool. My own design, it's very soft and warm.
The yarn in this scarf is made to be used for striped and patterned socks, but I decided it would be more fun to make this scarf featuring a short-row technique to produce the ruffles. It's 6 inches wide and 42 inches long, and the yarn is a wool/nylon blend that is machine washable (gentle, please).
This soft, soft scarf is made of a machine-washable (gentle, please) acrylic/wool blend yarn. Have fun with the semi-circular ruffles, and with the long, narrow lacy body. It's 6 inches wide and 70 inches long, but you can make it longer and skinnier if you pull on it a little.
This easy-to-wear garment sold the first time I showed it. Coincidentally, it was a bit of a chilly morning, and it perfectly matched what its new owner was wearing at the time. Guess that was meant to be!
I designed this scarf to be reversible, and to try an interesting technique in knitting. The yarn is a blend of silk, wool and nylon. It's 8 inches wide and 52 inches long.
I wanted to design a scarf that would be a quiet but interesting one, and I was pleased with the way this turned out. It's made of a lovely, and machine-washable (gentle, please) blend of acrylic and wool. The alternating lace and solid knit blocks give it structure and a quiet bit of style. 9 inches wide and 62 inches long.
This 26-inch necklace features beautiful, subtle autumn hues in lampwork glass cubes. Lampwork glass beads are created by hand, over an open flame and one bead at a time. The oxidized copper toggle clasp blends nicely with the rest of the piece.
These earrings feature beautiful, subtle autumn hues in lampwork glass cubes. Lampwork glass beads are created by hand, over an open flame and one bead at a time. The earwire is surgical stainless steel, and the earrings also incorporate copper and sterling silver.
This necklace uses the spiral rope technique, which yields a supple and strong rope. The entire piece is woven with beads -- even the clasp. It's 26 inches long.
Complementing the Coppery Sparkles necklace, these earrings are made of 14K gold fill and glass beads made in the Czech Republic.
This piece incorporates brightly colored fused glass that I set in a custom sterling silver pendant. I chose Swarovski crystals and sterling silver beads to accent the pendant. It's 19 inches long, plus about a 2 inch pendant drop. Glass cabochons by Karen Nan Designs.
This shawl is 56 inches wide on the top edge and 33 inches long from the top to the point. It is my own design, knit from an alpaca/wool blend (the solid colors) and an acrylic/wool blend (the shaded colors). The tabs aren't included in the measurements. It's nice and soft, and warm.
