It's been a while since I tended to my websites. Darn that day job! Oh, and a nice vacation too (no Darn for that one). So please bear with me -- the catalog pages will be there soon, very soon.
I am still studying with Bob Weaver, a master art jewelry teacher, in Austin. I have been learning lots of different techniques, and am starting to get some pretty good ideas about the direction my work is going to take. Plus, I keep looking around the studio to see what sort of goodies I simply MUST have when I get the chance to set up a workshop of my own.
Not much show activity since the Celebration of the Arts in Midland. What fun and learning that was! My buddy Michele Patterson, from Salem, Oregon, came to Texas to help me with it and I couldn't have done it without her. She has had experience with the show production side, from her work with the Salem Art Association. This was a fun time for her to see the artist's point of view.
I am planning to have another home show with Carolyn Greene in November. We haven't settled exactly on the date yet, so will be posting something more detailed when that gets established. I am also contemplating a December open house, where I can invite my fellow students from the jewelry studio to show their wares. "Watch This Space!"
Well, it's back to playing with photos for me, so I can have some things for you to see instead of that polite but discouraging "Couldn't find anything" message.
